Recently I started knitting a summer sweater in a really lovely new yarn from Lang Yarns called Vaya.. it’s a blend of cotton, yak and merino in a chainette and it’s actually delicious, really soft and light and drapey.. it’s going to be gorgeous..
then this morning I spotted this new pattern that’s in the testing stage from Norgardknitters called the Simply Me Blouse that I just HAVE to knit.. pattern is released on 26th May…. So the question is..
Do I knit as fast as poss and have 2 Vaya sweaters?? ..

Frog and wait for this pattern???

Buy all the patterns and all the yarn and not finish anything as I can’t knit quick enough ( most likely)

I’ve got some gorgeous summer yarns this year - BC Garn, Lang yarns, Baby Toly and new to me Rosários 4 including Alvor a sport weight wool/linen blend and Madragoa, a fingering weight Bourette silk..All of these lovelies are in the shop and online..
I’m open today, then a heads up, next week mini hoop is only open Fri and sat but online is open as normal.. I’m off to visit my shops in the South West so I’ll try to bring some sunshine back with me 😘

Thankfully my customers are much better at finishing projects than I am, so here’s a mini collection to inspire you this morning ..😊
First up.. Emily has just finished her first stranded colourwork sweater as a gift for her mum.. the pattern is Raven by Marie Wallin and is a freebie on Ravelry.. looks wonderful and the fit is fantastic too 👏😍
My lovely friend Lorna has had a horrible fall recently and has broken her ankle and foot.. the only silver lining is more time for knitting and as an avid sock knitter, she’s knitting some shortie socks in Footprints.. a wool /cotton sock yarn, so perfect for summer when she’s back on her feet 😘
Last but not least Denise loves knitting scarves, so has made this BIG version of my alternative zickzack scarf using Edition 3 and brushed Armonia.. it’s been so successful, she’s now knitting requests for her friends and family 😍
All of these are freebie patterns, I have all this yarn in stock and I am open today if you’d like to make your own 😘

Good morning! I am back and I’m open! 😊👋 I wanted to show you my latest love note whilst I was in Germany, but didn’t get the time, so here I am, wearing a very shy and retiring shade of pink 😆💗
I knit this version using Jawoll silk and kidsilk haze and the colour is just fabulous .. it’s in stock in the shop and I’m open over the Easter weekend as normal Thurs/ Good Fri and Sat 10-4.30 if you need a project (you do! 😘)

I’m in the crochet mood atm.. and I’m currently hooking a top down, short sleeve sweater from this fantastic book by #lindaskuja .. I’m working with Merino 150, a sport weight merino from Lang Yarns in the most incredible deep red and it’s coming out beautifully, soft and light and you would never know it’s crochet! LOVE it!! I’m in the shop today till 4.30 if you’d like to have a look.

I thought I was going to be showing of my new sun hat this morning, but actually I’m wearing it as a sou’wester thanks to the pouring rain! Ah well, I’m ready for when the sun does show it’s face! 🌞
I love this stuff, it’s Wool and the Gang Ra Ra Raffia, crochets excellent bags and hats.. and I have new patterns and new colours in the shop now..

How often do you knit something you’re really thrilled with? Not just pleased.. but absolutely love? It’s not that often right?? This is one of those times for me.. I absolutely love this shawl, the pattern, the duck egg blue yarn, it’s a hard recommend from me 😍
So this is Erysimum shawl by Celine Feyten, available on Rav of course.. and I knit this using Hjertegarn Highland fine, which is a great value pure wool 4ply.. sadly I don’t have kits available atm because both the beige and brown are out of stock, but I do have 1 space left on a little class I’m running next weekend that includes the yarn, so grab it while you can…
Of course you can knit this shawl in any fingering/ 4ply yarn and I have lots to choose from, so come over and have a browse ..
Also please tell me your BEST EVER knits so I can add them to my queue 😆😘

I back from seeing my gorgeous shops in windy south Wales, and I’m always pleased to see boxes of yarn have arrived whilst I’ve been away.. this one makes me very happy as I’ve been waiting aaaages for this colourway to come back Into stock.. it’s Alpaca soxx handyed from Lang yarns in sh 5, this fabulous hot pink combination. I used it for my Albuquerque sunset shawl by Casapinka and it’s so soft and cosy, I’ve been wearing it all week.. yarn and kits in stock now both online and in the shop.. xx
