I just wanted to say an enormous Thankyou to all my friends and customers for your messages and kind thoughts.. Covid is a very bleak, dark hole of an illness and the support has helped more than you can imagine.. talking of thanks, I must mention our incredible surgery #ivycourtsurgery .. we are unbelievably lucky to have such a fantastic local resource staffed by a great team.. so many many thanks to dr pillai for his daily check in.. also Thankyou to the WH COVID team.. lovely people in horrible circumstances..
So I’m back at work, obviously the shop is closed due to tier 4, but I’m here for online orders and click and collect.. I will be in the shop till 2 today, then again on Saturday 12-2pm. Next week will be normal days, slightly shorter hours while I recover so please check. I seem to have an awful lot of gorgeous, squishy, chunky, yarn, so if that snow comes, I’m your woman!

Got to be honest, I’m devastated.. shop is obviously shut and I’m in bed.. in all the years I’ve owned the shop I’ve never been off sick, but this has totally knocked me off my feet. 😢💩😢

Morning 👋 I wanted to show you this cowl this morning as it’s such a fantastic little pattern.. this is #sidewindercowl by @aspen_leaf_knits available on @hi.ravelry . Knit in the round, as a spiral it’s really intuitive and only uses 1 hank/ball of super chunky. I used Malabrigo Rasta here, but it would also work well with Rowan Big Wool, Lang yarns Hope or any yarn you’ve have that knits on a 10mm.. I’ll link the pattern in the comments .. there’s a matching hat, so I’m casting on now xx

Finally I can reveal my new shawl kit for Christma

Finally I can reveal my new shawl kit for Christmas 2020 🥳👏🥳.. This gorgeous shawl is called Treasures from the Forest path and is a simple, incredibly soothing mix of squishy garter stitch and beginner lace. The pattern is really well written by @p4chen , it’s clearly set out, row by row so I feel confident that anyone can tackle it .. the yarn I’ve used is a Lang yarns , worsted weight blend of alpaca, wool and tencel called Aymara.. it’s soft, light, yet very cosy, something to snuggle up in when the weather is miserable like today . There are 5 colours to choose from including a soft pink and a very pretty blue. The entire kit costs £45 and includes plenty of yarn, needle, pattern and project bag or gift box.. it’s over on the website now xx

This post might seem like I’m raving... and tbh I am!
This is hands down the best crochet project this year!
It couldn’t be more perfect...An easy crocheted shawl in squidgy wool, warm over your shoulders when you’re mooching around the house ( or shop in my case) big deep pockets that hold your phone, mask, sanitiser etc.. as I said, Perfect!
And what’s even more amazing is that I’ve found a pure wool to make it in for only £28.50... so it also makes the perfect Christmas present.
