Nicki Says “The kit contains an A4-sized stitch sampler that I use for my Stitchery Masterclasses. Displayed in a grid format, with each box separated by running stitch, the sampler includes all of the stitches we have used at The Stitchery this year: French knots, bullion knots, seed stitch, buttonhole stitch and split stitch to name just a few. There is space at the bottom of the grid for the stitcher to put their initials and date if they wish, just like the old alphabet samplers I find so inspiring.
The sampler is self-explanatory as to which stitches go where but the kit includes 5 full skeins of DMC embroidery thread and an A6 booklet with detailed instructions on how to complete each stitch together with a few of my favourite embroidery tips.
Colour Palette
- Whites: a selection of five white, ivory, ecru and light beige toning threads for a neutral, white on white sampler.
Suitable for both beginners and advanced stitchers alike, you will need some basic embroidery supplies, needles, small sharp scissors and a hoop to complete this project.
